Ted Mongon has been a teacher at Atlantis Academy for the past 20 years. He has a Bachelor of Science in Education from SUNY Cortland University in Upstate New York. Ted moved to Florida in 1999 and started with a job in our summer camp program here at Atlantis Academy. At the start of the school year, his position turned in to a permanent one teaching Physical Education. A few years ago, he made the change from P.E. to the middle school team (Science) to help better serve our students. Ted says that being a subject area classroom teacher has afforded him an amazing opportunity to see a different side of education. He has fun and enjoys what he does every day. In his classroom, students learn about things such as the different phases of the moon, how the systems of the body maintain homeostasis, and the periodic table of elements. His students work hard and push each other to grow and learn.
