Activities and Clubs
After School Sports Program
The After-School Sports Program offers a wide range of activities including soccer, flag football, kickball, tennis, baseball, basketball, and more. Sessions take place after school and focus on one activity at a time for a few weeks so students can try to experience different sports. All students are welcome and encouraged to join the program to learn and practice different skills.
Chess Club
Chess is one of the most celebrated board games in all history. It has been proven to increase brain activity and demonstrates the importance of planning and thinking ahead as players study the board. Members of the Chess Club learn fundamentals and etiquette of the game in a friendly, supportive atmosphere.
Yearbook Club
Students in the yearbook club have the satisfaction of knowing they play an important role in creating the school’s permanent record – and a lifetime of memories for all who turn the yearbook’s pages. Club members learn how to use a camera and take pictures to document the school year in a record that lasts for years.
Art Program
Our art program is designed to give students knowledge and experience in all aspects of the fine arts. Students begin by learning the seven elements of art – Line, Shape, Space, Value, Form, Texture and Color – and are introduced to different mediums. They explore making projects in both 2-D and 3-D forms, depending which of the elements is being taught. Students experience the art elements by practicing with multiple art mediums including painting, drawing, weaving, sculpting, carving, building and printing. Our students will display their finished work in a virtual gallery to share with family and friends.
